Il tema da sviluppare insieme per Crea 5220 è :
"Diamond shape"
Ho comprato alcune matassine DMC Metallisé per ricamare
degli ornamenti . Volevo provare l'effetto e le difficoltà del
filato, molto rigido.
Il tema di questa settimana era perfetto per fare delle
prove , l'idea era di ricamare sul jeans per un ricamo diverso.
Ho scelto su Pinterest un disegno a tema e con la carta velina
appoggiata direttamente sul tessuto ho cominciato a ricamare.
Ho usato un ago con la cruna larga affinchè il filato attraversasse
senza problemi la stoffa senza sfilacciarsi.
Nella foto purtroppo non si nota la perlescenza...
Questi i colori che ho scelto (Bianco 5272-Azzurro 5290- Rosa Antico
5288-Grigio 5287- Verde 5269- Viola5289 -Rosso 5270-).
Farò sicuramente altre prove, il filato infatti è davvero rigido e
"scattante". Tende a rimanere sollevato dalla stoffa e bisogna
regolare ogni punto.
Ik vind borduren op jeans mooi, het voegt echt wat toe aan een, spijkerbroek, jack, jurk of tas.

RispondiEliminan the photo with the strands you can clearly see that it is metallic yarn. I've never used it myself. But I can imagine that it is very difficult to process. Yet it really has something special! Nice to decorate drama costumes.

Wat stijlvol en wat een goed idee. Jammer dat het borduurgaren wat lastig is om mee te werken. Fijn weekend.

Wat een mooi idee Carmela om zoiets op spijkerstof te borduren,
RispondiEliminaen het is je ondanks het stugge garen perfect gelukt, erg mooi
geworden. De andere kleuren komen ongetwijfeld in een ander werkstuk
weer eens van pas.

This looks great on jeans. It's not easy to stitch with these threads. I always use short lengths and only stab stitch it to keep it from fraying.

RispondiEliminaWhat a wonderful idea to embroider on jeans. I do get the idea of the shimmering diamond, even if it gets a bit lost in the photo. I often find it difficult to photograph shimmering items of clothing. The colours of those metallic yarns are gorgeous! I hope you're having a great weekend Carmela! xxx

on thin fabric, that was a bit easier.
